Day 7. Charlottesville to Washington DC

Great day today, got into Washington after a visit to several Civil War sites that were amazing, to see where almost 30,000 soldiers died. It was not much more than a wooded paddock which made it quite eerie. Washington was fantastic, what a terrific city for architecture and monuments. We did a bus tour in the evening which visited the Capital Building, the Washington Monument, Jefferson monument, the Lincoln monument, the Martin Luther King monument and a glimpse of the Whitehouse.
