Day 12. 1st shore stop in Newport

The tenders that take us from the ship to shore.
The Eurodam in Newport harbour
We went on a trolly car tour of the city

Some of the incredible mansions loacted here that are mainly used for summer houses, very wealthy town with lots of old money

We had a tour of the Vanderbilt mansion known as the Breakers, tis was their sommer home that they used for only 6 weeks a year. The original timber mansion was burned to the ground and the new steel and marble fire proof house was build further towards the coastline.

View from the 1st floor veranda, not too shabby.
Other original buildings that have been restored in town

The oldest basball stadium in the US

Old homes in the centre of town, very pretty architecture
